Che Guvera Quotes

Che Guvera is a revolutionary rock band that has been described as one of the most important bands in the history of rock music.

Che Guvera was one of the first bands to play rock music in Chile, and they are credited with helping to spread the genre throughout South America. The group formed in 1959 and disbanded in 1968, but their influence on later generations of musicians remains strong today.

History

The band was formed by brothers Pedro and Jose Miguel Rosas, who were born in 1943 and 1946 respectively. Their father was a police officer from Argentina who had moved to Chile after marrying their Chilean mother. He encouraged his sons to play music and brought them an accordion for Christmas when they were children.

The brothers began playing together when they were teenagers, forming a band called Los Rockeros de La Cumbre with two other boys from their neighborhood. They performed at parties and other events around Santiago until 1958, when Pedro left for college in Buenos Aires. Jose Miguel remained behind to continue performing with Los Rockeros de La Cumbre while Pedro was away at school; he also became interested in politics during this time period
